Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics: Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Good morning stampers!  We have a sketch challenge this week! We can basically use any stamp set or color combo, but try to keep the card to this layout.

This week I'm featuring the Butterfly Basics and the lovely lace patterned paper from the Timeless Elegance Designer Paper pack.  Notice anything else....Yup, this week, brought out my Big Shot and used the Florals Framelits for the focal points.

Here's a close up of the main focal point. Wanted you to see the honeycomb-like edges in Delightful Dijon. Sooo...that doesn't really look like Delightful Dijon right?  It's because I stamped-off twice, then stamped on the paper...leaving a lighter shade.

Stamp-Off Technique

The stamp-off technique is one of my favorite and I use it so often.  It allows you to basically have many different shades of your favorite colors!   To stamp-off, you ink your stamp as you normally would, then stamp on a piece of scrap paper/grid paper, then you stamp on your focal piece/paper (leaving a lighter shade of ink).

Heather, I love the way you used the shaped flower stamp instead of the circle, so creative.
