Sorry this is a really poor picture - bummer because the card did come out so beautiful. My "good" camera is getting repaire and I hope to have it back this coming week.
Anyway, this is a card from the Idea Book and Catalog (Spring/Summer 2008, page 144). I saw it and just had to do it for this Valentine's Day (which I gave to my mother). I just modified the colors used, and added some personal touches like the swirl background and roughed edges (distressor tool).
Stamps
- Priceless
- Wonderful Words (for "Love" greeting)
Inks
- River Rock
- Blush Blossom
- Groovy Guava
Paper
- River Rock
- Blush Blossom
- Very Vanilla
Stampin' Up! Accessories
- Pretties Kit
- Mini Glue Dots
- Cutters Kit
Instructions
- Stamp heart from Priceless in Groovy Guava on Blush Blossom paper and cut out.
- Then stamp the same heart in Blush Blossom on Very Vanilla paper. Cut out. Adhere to Blush Bossom paper.
- Use Baroque Motifs' swirle in upper left and lower right corners on River Rock cardstock.
- Use Distressor - Cutter's Kit - on Very Vanilla and Blush Blossom cardstock.
- Stamp on Very Vanilla carstock. I stamped some in Blush Blossom only and then others with Blush Blossom and then "rock-n-roll" in Groovy Guava. Use large swirl from Priceless.
- Using smaller swirl, stamp in River Rock on Very Vanilla.
- Stamp "Love" in River Rock.
- Stamp little flowers (from Priceless) in River Rock.
- Adhere Very Vanilla and Blush Blossom cardstock. Wrap River Rock double stitched ribbon around them.
- Add small ball, pearl, and small ball to hat pin and then put through ribbon. When ready, add another small ball, pearl, small ball and tear drop crysal to pin and close.
- Tie knot (White organdy ribbon used in my image) to top of hat pin.
- Adhere hear to pin/ribbon using glue dot (mini).
- Finally, adhere to River Rock cardstock.

it is still really pretty!
Thanks Tabitha!
It is a really nice card from the Idea Book and Catalog. I like a lot of the samples from this Spring/Summer 2008 Idea Book and Catalog.
Thanks again,
Heather
Thanks ladies for your comments and for visiting my blog! This was my first attempt at a pop-up card. I like it and it wasn't as bad/hard as I thought it would be. Just a little trial and error.
Thanks again, Best Wishes,
Heather
