Happy Easter Bunny Tin

This is my first nugget tin project. I've seen so many great samples I had to give it a try and one of my ladies asked to do an Easter Project at my next workshop. This is a great Easter Gift!

Stamps
  • All Year Cheer I (retired)
  • Fun Faces (retired)

Inks

  • N/A

Paper

  • Flowers By You (Designer Series Paper)
  • Whisper White

Stampin' Up! Accessories

  • Large Oval Punch
  • Small Oval Punch
  • Dimensionals
  • SNAIL Adhesive
  • Markers for coloring bunny face and outline of ears/paws (Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink in my sample)

Project Dimensions and Details

  • The Wrapper around the box is 2" x 9" of your choice of DSP.
  • The strips that make up the DSP around the top of the tin border are 12" x 5/16". You need 2 (since one will not make it all the way around).
  • The strips that make up the DSP around the bottom of the tin border are 12" x 1/2". You need 2 (since one will not make it all the way around).
  • Tin bottom and inner bottom piece are 3" x 4 3/4".
  • Each candy is covered with pieces of DSP that are 1" x 3" -- 12 candies/nuggest in all.
  • The Pretties Kit flowers can be used, but I didn't have enough for the workshop so I had to make a run to Michael's and bought the pink flowers you see here.

Instructions

  • Attach one piece of the 12" x 5/16" paper (DSP) around the top rim of the tin (using SNAIL adhesive).
  • Attach another piece of the 12" x 5/16" paper (DSP) around the top rim of the tin (using SNAIL adhesive) since one piece was not long enough. Trim this piece.
  • Follow the same steps for the bottom rim of the tin (using 12" x 1/2" paper).
  • Adhere a 3" x 4 3/4" piece of paper to the bottom of the tin (inside).
  • Adhere a 3" x 4 3/4" piece of paper to the bottom of the tin (outside).
  • Wrap each of the nuggets (candy) with a 3" x 1" (12 pieces in total).
  • Wrap the 9 x 2" piece of paper around the tin and adhere.
  • Adhere the greeting, flower, rhinestone, and bunny to the "wrapper".
  • You're done :)

NOTE: Hershey's Nuggets (Silver, Milk Chocolate) were used.
