This card was specifically designed for a kids craft. I used Stampin' Up!'s watercolor pencils to "color" this card. Children, however, not old enough to use watercoloring pencils may instead use crayons and it looks just as good!
Stamps
- Along the Shore (retired) - can substitute with Winds of Grace , Seaside, or On The Fly
Paper
- Basic Gray
- Brocade Blue
- Watercolor paper (can substitute for Very Vanilla)
Inks
- Basic Gray (or can use Basic Black or Staz-On Black)
Stampin' Up! Accessories
- Watercolor Pencils
- Blender Pen
- SNAIL Adhesive
Instructions
- Stamp images of beach scene in Basic Gray. Since we're using watercoloring, let this set for a minute or so before using blender pens. For immediate coloring, use Staz-On Black.
- Use watercolor pencils to color image. I used greens and browns for the grass, brown and gray on the chair, gray and blue for the birds, blue for the clouds. Kids can use regular crayons for coloring.
- Then I used a light brown for sand and blue for sky/water and used the blender pen. This may or may not be desired with children making the card. Again, regular crayons can be used instead or watercoloring.
- Use SNAIL adhesive glue to assemble the card layers.
