Good morning stampers!
Today's a great day as I've joined a weekly blog hop with some of my stamping buddies, known as the Happy Stampers! They are super talented so you're in for a treat!
Our challenge was to create a card using this sketch below. I kept mine pretty clean and simple this week. Enjoy :D
Kinda Eclectic Stamp Off Stamping
I stuck with more of a neutral palette featuring the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. I actually first did the card with "Thanks" natural element in the bottom right, however I felt the top left was then too empty....so I took it off and then stamped a greeting instead! lol. Of course it's a little crooked, but I still like it!
For this challenge, I wanted to create something soft but one that could be done fast. I however did add some dimension and texture by using Stampin' Dimensionals and a Textured Impressions folder. I love the white on white in the background layers, don't you?
Instructions and Stampin' Up! Product
I love adding dimension and different color tones using the Stamp Off technique. All that is is inking your stamp, and them stamping off on scrap paper before stamping onto your card stock, leaving a lighter shade of ink. I did this in this card with both Wisteria Wonder and Mint Macaron.- Horizontal/landscape card format.
- Embossed layer is 5.25 x 4 and embossed using the Textured Impressions folder Modern Mosaic. It is then adhered to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Next, to cut the Tip Top Taupe card stock at 4.5 x 3.25
- And then the next piece of Whisper White cardstock is cut to 4.25 x 3.
- Ink the leaves in Kinda Eclectic in Mint Macaron and then first stamp on a piece of scrap paper, before stamping on your actual Whisper White card stock. Do this a few times as desired.
- Then ink the same leaves and stamp directly on the card stock. See the two ones of Mint Macaron in my card samples.
- Next, I used the same technique with the butterflies and Wisteria Wonder. Smaller butterfly I stamped off, the larger one I did not.
- Next I wrapped, Sahara Sand Lace Trim around the card stock, and then wrapped Linen Thread too!
- Then tied Linen Thread through the Designer Vintage Faceted button and adhered to card stock with glue dots.
- If you want to stamp a greeting in the upper left, do that now in Tip Top Taupe.
- Otherwise, continue by adhering Whisper White card stock to the Tip Top Taupe mat.
- Then adhere to card front (on top of embossed paper) using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Add some *bling* with Jewels Basic Rhinestones! My favorite!!!
- And you're done :D
