Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics: Sketch Challenge

Good morning stampers!

This week's a Sketch Challenge! Use any colors, any stamps...but use this layout to spark your creativity!

Today, I'm featuring the Butterfly Basics Bundle by Stampin' Up!  (my favorite) as well as my favorite Designer Series Paper, Timeless Elegance.

When making this card using Stampin' Up! product.

  • Card base is Whisper White.
  • Then taped 1/2 inch of Sahara Sand paper at the top.
  • Next stamped the floral swirl from the Flowering Flourishes stamp set (retiring soon!!!) in Basic Black.
  • Then stamp the small butterflies in Crumb Cake.
  • Wrap Tip Top Taupe dotted lace ribbon around the card base and hold with Mini Glue Dot. Wrap Linen Thread a few times around that and knot.  Then tie the knot on the Tip Top Taupe.  Again, hold the ribbon with Mini Glue Dot.
  • Cut a piece of Timeless Elegance, the rose pattern I love so much in this case, and stamp some additional butterflies on it in Basic Black.
  • Sponge the roses (with Dauber) with Crumb Cake.
  • Add the panel to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Add Rhinestones to flower centers.
  • The die cut butterfly is a piece of Designer Series paper but then flipped over!!!  Adhered with Mini Glue Dots and accessorized with rhinestones!
