Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics Meets Dapper Denim

Good morning stampers!  Today, we have a Sketch Challenge! Use any colors, any stamps...but use this layout to spark your creativity!

I'm featuring Butterfly Basics with the Dapper Denim!  What do you think of the Black, White, Dapper Denim color combo?

Card Instructions

It's simplistic but also has a lot going on LOL!!!
  • Card base is Dapper Denim (5-1/2 x 4-1/4 horizontal card).
  • Edges are stamped in black using the honey comb stamp from Butterfly Basics.
  • Focal panel is Whisper White 5 x 3-3/4.
  • First I stamped the black dashed line in Basic Black (from Butterfly Basics set).
  • Then stamped the ferns in Dapper Denim...lighter shades because I stamped off (twice!!) before stamping.
  • Stamped greeting in Dapper Denim as well.
  • Then, used one of the Floral Affection Textured Impressions Folders on the left side, first angled towards the top.
  • Then did it again more angled towards the bottom.
  • NOTE: Actually the paper was upside down and the raised side is on not shown!
  • Used a piece of Timeless Elegance dark patterned paper for the Butterfly framelit.
  • Adhered using Stampin' Dimensional (a piece around the edge of the Stampin' Dimensional sheet so it's thinner).
  • Mat the focal panel leaving an 1/8 inch border, very thin, in Basic Black.
  • Adhere the focal panel to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Accessorize and you're done (I added one rhinestone to the "i" in Birthday).

Absolutely gorgeous!! Love the honeycomb pattern that you added. And the embossing adds so much as well. Love it.
