Scrapbooking Layouts - Love Birds - Scrapbook Club

We made these 4 12x12 pages in our last Scrapbook Club class. I used the Love Birds Simply Scrappin' but you can use the layouts for any kit of your choice.  My next post will be the 4 6x6 pages we created.

Okay, so to create this page, I just centered the two 4x6 pages and placed them and then measured chocolate brown squares I used as photo corner accents. Then once laid down, I began to adhere here, layered on top of each other.

Then added the decorative border stickers to the bottom and adhered a series of stickers from the kit at the top.

Next, this page features an 8x10 picture, matted.  Notice the brown squares mat the 3 square stickers from the set.  Also, more decorative stickers at the bottom.

And lets not forget about the triangle in the bottom right corner and then more stickers adhered to that (using Stampin' Dimensionals for a raised look).

Next, this page was created using a 2 inch strip of designer series paper and again, decorative stickers vertically, to the right of the paper.

Stickers adhered to the left.

Then two 4x6 mats slanted.

Cut out the owls from the stickers and then adhered to the branch sticker from the set, Dimensionals used as well.

Last but not least, is this beautiful page where decorative stickers line the right side.

One 4x6 picture and then two wallet sized photo holders (matted) underneath, and a sticker in the center (raised on Dimensionals and placed in the center so it will not stick to the pictures (to be inserted).

The scrapbook club meets every 3rd Friday.  You can still come to class even if you are not in the Club...Click here for more details.
Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'!!!!!

Sunshine Garden - Scrapbook In a Day
(Pages 18-19, 20)

Pages 18-19

These pages again are simple but beautiful! Each starts with a yellow piece of 6x6 textured paper from the Kit. Then adjacent border stickters go across the bottom of the page.

Left Page
  • Layer a larger mat for your picture.
  • Place a leaf sticker in the bottom center.
  • Add a floral sticker (with a round circle sticker on top of it using Dimensionals) on top of the leaf with Dimensionals.

Right Page
  • Same size mat as the layered pieces on the Left Side but just cut in half!
  • Then lay them on the page as shown above.
  • Add floral sticker (with circle sticker) using Dimensionals.

Page 20

This is my closing page for the Sunshine Garden scrapbook. Hope you enjoyed the scrapbook and all it's pages.

  1. It consists of starting with a 6x6 piece of cardstock.
  2. Then two triangular pieces in the upper left and bottom left corner, as well as a 3 x 5-14/16 piece of DSP on the right side.
  3. Added a sticker greeting and raised flower sticker using Stampin' Dimensionas (after placing a rhinestone brad in the center).
  4. Add a border sticker up the middle.
  5. Lastly, add the floral sticker after placing brads and then raising the flower heads using Dimensionals.
Happy Scrapbooking!

Sunshine Garden - Scrapbook In a Day (Pages 12-13, 14-15, 16-17)

Here are some more fun and simple scrapbook pages from my Scrapbook in a Day class (using the Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin' Kit).

To see more pages click here.

Pages 12-13

These pages have the yellow 6x6 square as a 1st layer and then a 5.75 square adhered as the 2nd layer.

On the LEFT, just a single layer Whisper White photo mat (or journaling box) is used, with a small sticker greeting, and flower with Filigree Designer Brads used (and raised with Stampin' Dimensionals).

On the RIGHT, I used squares in blue and white, rotated them to make the diamond shape and trimmed them manually and separately before adhering. Again a small greeting was used at the bottom, center and the same type of flower as on the left side.

Pages 14-15

These were fun pages and something a little different. I used a bowl to trace the circle on the designer series paper and then cut it off-centered (using the table top cutter). Then manually cut the circle.

On each side I placed border stickers and aligned them.

On the LEFT, I added 3 decoratve stickers to the bottom left. Also there is a layered mat in the upper left corner.

On the RIGHT, again I used one of the floral stickers that is part of the kit and also punched Whisper White flowers using the Boho Blossoms punch. Then I added small, clear rhinestone brads to the center. Lastly, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to give the flower-heads a raised appearance.

Pages 16-17

These pages were quick and easy! On the LEFT side, there is a sticker/greeting at the top left, a double-layered photo mat on the left, as well as floral stickers to the right. Stampin' Dimensionals were used to "raise" the center of the flowers (which are stickers as well - all part of the Simply Scrappin' Kit). On the RIGHT, I simply wrapped 2 different ribbons around the 6x6 square.

More pages to come!

Sunshine Garden - Scrapbook In a Day (Pages 6-7, 8-9, 10-11)

These pages are fun and quick!
  • Simply start with a darker blue piece of 6x6 paper.
  • Cut a bunch of 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 squares (pictured: 2 light blue, 4 green, 2 designer series paper) and adhere using SNAIL adhesive.
  • Pierce and push rhinestone brads thru the center of a small circle sticker layered on flower stickers.
  • Then adhere to center with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • 1/16" handheld circle punch.

Stampin' Up! Product Used
  • Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin' Kit
  • SNAIL Adhesive
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Rhinestone Brads (Ice and Fire Collection - Cirlce)

These pages both have the same underlying layout (light blue 6x6 piece of cardstock is used, then a strip of the darker blue, then a 6 inch strip of desired sticker borders off-centered).

  • Then one side (left) has a 3-1/2 x 5 picture mat layered, then adhere leaves (stickers) and then adhere the floral sticker with Stampin' Dimensionals.

  • The right side simply has a floral sticker adhered with brads used for the center of the flowers. Greeting (sticker) in lower left corner.
Stampin' Up! Product Used

  1. Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin' Kit
  2. Stampin' Dimensionals
  3. Brads
  4. SNAIL Adhesive

With these pages I actually used a 9" bowl and traced a portion of it on the Designer Series paper, and then manually cut the curve. Then did the same for the opposite page.

Stampin' Up! Product Used
  • Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin' Kit
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • SNAIL Adhesive

Instructions

  • Both pages begin with a yellow 6x6 square.
  • Then the designer series paper is adhered to each side.
  • Then a strip of the yellow sticker (part of the kit) is adhered near the inner edges.
  • Then 6 oval stickers are adhered to the 2 pages (3 on each side) using Stampin' Dimensionals.

These pages are quick and easy to assemble.

Have fun!

Sunshine Garden - Scrapbook In a Day
(Page 1)

I really love this page and the particular designer series paper used (a 6x6 square of the one of the 12x12 sheets that come in the kit).

NOTE: The "hi" are two stickers that come with the kit and I had adhered them to the outside of the protective sleeve/cover!

The actual page consists of the following items from Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin' Kit as well as other Stampin' Up! product to accent the page and kit:

  1. 6x6 piece of designer series paper.
  2. 3x3-1/2 piece of textured yellow paper, adhered to page using SNAIL adhesive.
  3. A sticker in the upper-right corner ("happy").
  4. Pierce one of the yellow flower stickers with the 1/16" Circle Handheld Punch. Then place a light blue rhinestone brad (Ice Collection, Circle), and a Filigree designer brad.
  5. Adhere the completed flower to the page using Stampin' Dimensionals.

More pages to come soon!

Sunshine Garden - Scrapbook In a Day

This post will serve as the main page for this project. We started with a 6x6 linen album (in Natural, shown above). I also used rub-ons from the retired Love & Happiness rub-on set, as well as a large silk flower from the Pretties Kit, a piece of a light blue sticker from the Simply Scrappin' Kit, as well as a Clear Rhinestone Brad. Lastly, the large flower was adhered to the linen album using a Pop-Up Glue Dot.
During the class we made TWENTY 6x6 pages using the Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin' Kit. Here are links to all the pages:

FAMILY Chipboard Album - Home Again (Finished)

This is a picture of the finished FAMILY Chipboard Album project we did over this past weekend, June 7th, as a Father's Day Project (however it can be used for many occasions).
Do you believe I didn't do any stamping? I think this is the first project I have done where I didn't stamp a thing. I wanted to demonstrate the Simply Scrappin' Kit and how it alone can be used (with some added accessories, like brads and ribbons) to create beautiful projects.

The following posts are shots of individual pages of this album with their recipes (tools and accessories used). What I forgot to mention on many of them is the use of Stampin' Dimensionals to give a raised look to some of the stickers (with brads) and the 1 1/8" and 1 1/16" inch Circle Handheld Punches.

Overall, here is a list of Stampin' Up! accessories used for this project. Again, see the following posts for detailed information of each "letter" (page) of the album.

Stampin' Up! Accessories
  • Simply Scrappin' Kit - Home Again (Item #109597, $19.95)
  • Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon (Item #109065, $6.95)

  • Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon (Item #109071, $6.95)

  • Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon (Item #109069, $6.95)

  • Ribbon Originals (Theater) (Item #109186, $12.95)

  • Chocolate Chip Wide Satin Ribbon (the individual roll is retired, however is part of Item #109186)

  • Twill Tape (Item #105245, $5.95)

  • Hodgepodge Hardware (Antique Brass - get it now - retiring in Aug. 2008) (Item #105531, $27.95)

  • Vintage Brads (Item #109109, $8.95)

  • Rhinestone Brads (Circle, Ice Collection) (Item #109111, $10.95)

  • Punches:
    1/16 Circle Handheld (Item #101227, $8.95)
    1 1/8 Circle Handheld (Item #100391, $8.95)
    1 3/8 Square (Item #103375, $15.95)
    1 1/4 Square (Item #104400, $15.95)
    Photo Corners (Item #109042, $15.95)
    Ticket Corner (Item #107214, $6.95)
    Wrought Iron (retired)

  • Cardstock (in additon to that provided in the Kit):
    Chocolate Chip (Item #102128 (8 1/2 x 11), $5.50)
    Very Vanilla (Item #101650 (8 1/2 x 11), $7.50)

  • Stampin' Dimensionals (Item #104430, $3.95)

  • SNAIL Adhesive (Item #104332, $6.95)

To Place an Order:

Please contact me at handstampedbyheather@att.net
if you do not already have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator or
if you are one of my existing customers. Thank you.

Or Purchase the Kit instead!

The Kit includes all the materials needed to complete this project (ribbon, brads, rhinestone brads, hodgepodge hardware, and more). The kit allows you to have all the supplies needed for the project at a fraction of the price! For example, instead of purchasing a container of brads, only the number of brads needed for the project would be sent to you. All paper is precut, punched. The only thing you will need to do is trace all the letters and cut them, and then when it is finished to set the eyelets for the binding. The eyelets of course are included in the kit.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me (heather@handstampedbyheather.com)!

Other Accessories

  • I had forgotten to purchase enough eyelets for all my customers so there would be 3 on every letter, so I bought them at Michael's for this project ($2.49). However, I would buy them from Stampin' Up! from now on (Jumbo Eyelets - Item #108431, $9.95).

  • The Chipboard Albums are from Bo Bunny and can be purchased at many online stores. I use the following (I paid $6.29 from Generations Crafting for this project):

Scrapbook In a Day (Finished)

This project was a lot of fun and really not that hard at all. Now that it's done, it can be replicated using other Simply Scrappin' Kits from Stampin' Up! Can't wait!
