Happy Stampers Color Challenge

Good morning stampers!  Today, we have a Color Challenge this week with the Happy Stampers blog hop! Use any stamps, your favorite paper, any layout, but use this Color Combo as inspiration!

Falling Flowers By Stampin' Up!

I'm featuring the Falling Flowers stamp set by Stampin' Up! as well as the Bitty Butterfly Punch and the http://wp.me/p5snyt-24X (Night of Navy floral and the Copper floral).  In addition to the White in the color combo I used Crumb Cake too!

Card Instructions

 Guess what? I think you can do this one in 10 minutes or less!!!

• Card base is Crumb Cake.
• Stamp the floral swirl in Night of Navy right on the Card base.
• Cut a floral Copper piece of paper 5-1/2 long and adhere to the left.
• Cut a piece of Night Of Navy 5-1/2 x 1-3/4 and adhere on top of the Copper.
• Cut a piece of Night of Navy floral paper 5-1/2 x 1-1/2 and adhere centered on top of the Night of Navy paper.
• Stamp greeting on Whisper White and mat with Night of Navy paper.  Adhere to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals on the right side, SNAIL on the left side.
• Punch a few bitty butterflies in Night of Navy and Copper floral paper, and adhere using Mini Glue Dots.
• You're done!

Two Step Stamping Technique: Touches of Texture

Good morning stampers!  It's time for another Stamping and Blogging technique challenge.  It's Two Step Stamping time!  This is a super fun and easy technique. One you can mass produce too for those special Thank You cards.

I'm featuring the Touches of Texture stamp set from Stampin' Up!  It's one of my new favorites!  I'm also bringing in the Peekaboo Peach again....one of my new favorite In Colors!

• STAMPS: Touches of Texture, Birthday Blooms
• INKS: Pool Party, Peekabook Peach, Basic Black
• PAPER: Whisper White

Two Step Stamping: Card Instructions

You can make this card in 10 mins or less!

1. Card base is Whisper White, vertical card layout, scored on the left.
2. Stamp the floral center in Pool Party.
3. Then use the floral outline stamp in Basic Black and stamp on top of the Pool Party images.
4. Then stamp the small outline flower image.
5. In Peekaboo Peach, stamp the smaller solid floral image on the inside of all those images.
6. Then I stamped the greeting and the speckles from the Birthday Blooms stamp set, in Basic Black ink.
7. Open the card and stamp the floral/grunge image vertically on the right side.
8. Then tear the card front so it then shows that image.

NOTE: It's OK if they do NOT line up perfectly...mine don't!  But I still think it looks pretty...don't you?

Good morning stampers!  This month's technique is called Spotlight. Wait until you see the Totally Techniques Design Team in action this week --- Ah-MAZING!!!!! WOW!

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blooms

My card this week features the Birthday Blooms stamp set by Stampin' Up!  Believe it or not, this card is LOADED with different products from the Textured Impressions Folder to Washi Tape to Dazzling Details to water coloring and the SpotLight technique!

Spotlight Technique

In short, the Spotlight Technique is where you only color part(s) of a stamped image, essentially highlighting certain "spots" of your card.  There are different variations and all fun and I'm sure you'll see many today during the hop!

Quick Steps On Making This Card

• 5" Square card in Peekaboo Peach.
• Bottom 1/2 is embossed with the Lovely Lace embossing folder.
• Then a black/vanilla piece of Playful Palette DSP adhered across the center (1-3/4 x 5).
• Stamp the floral image in StazOn.
• Sponge Soft Sky around the floral image.
• Watercolor with Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo on the petals, the center is Daffodil Delight.  Then sprinkle the center with Dazzling Details.
• Adhere Washi Tape to the left side of the focal panel, two strips.
• Tear right top edge.
• Adhere focal panel to Basic Black mat.
• Tear right top edge of mat.
• Adhere focal panel using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Sketch Challenge: Stampin' Up! Bella & Friends

Good morning stampers!  Today, we have a Sketch Challenge. Use any stamps, your favorite paper and colors, but use this Sketch as inspiration!

I'm featuring the Bella & Friends stamp set by Stampin' Up! as well as using the Watercoloring Technique and Simple Sepia technique with the Blender Pen.

Card Instructions

• Card base is Soft Suede.
• Adhere piece of Serene Scenary DSP using SNAIL Adhesive.
• Stamp the greeting in Chocolate Chip.
• Stamp the Bella and Friends image and Chocolate Chip and immediately color the puppy using the Simple Sepia technique (using the Blender Pen, pull in the color from the Chocolate Chip edges to color the puppy).
• Then watercolor the balloon and bird using a Blender Pen as well (balloon is Soft Sky, the bird is in Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight).
• Add Lace to the bottom ledge.
• Adhere the focal panel using SNAIL Adhesive.
• Add rhinestones to Bella's collar.
• Use Crystal Effects on the balloon to add more texture and depth. LET DRY :D
• You're done!

Faux Letterpress Technique

It's that time of the week - Saturday! And that means we have a new Technique Challenge inside Stamping And Blogging.  It is the Faux Letterpress Technique!  I'm a featuring the Butterfly Basics stamp set by Stampin' Up! and the Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy new In Colors!

Card Instructions

Supplies
Inks: Basic Black, Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories: Sparkle Textured Impressions Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals, Butterfly Punch
Stamps: Butterfly Basics

1. The card base is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 (vertical card layout) in Basic Black.
2. Card front in Whisper White.
3. Open the Sparkle textured impressions folder and stamp the Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy ink pads several times on it!
4. Then place the card front on the inked impressions folder and press down with your hands (do not run through the Big Shot).
5. Using Basic Black ink, stamp the large ferns from Butterfly Basics stamp set.
6. Adhere to card base with SNAIL.
7. Stamp the butterflies in Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim and use the Butterfly punch.
8. Using Stampin' Dimensionals adhere to the card.
9. Stamp your greeting and mat with Black Black.
10. Add another butterfly if you'd like :D

Stampin' Up! Touches of Texture: Color Challenge

Good morning stampers!  Today, we have a Color Challenge. Soft, beautiful color combo!

I'm featuring the new Touch of Textures stamp set from the new 2016-2017 Catalog!  Also the new In Colors: Sweet SugarPlum, Emerald Envy and I have a splash of Flirty Flamingo too.

Card Instructions

It's simple, cute and fun! I think you may be able to create this card in 15 mins or less!

• Card base is Whisper White, vertical layout but folded on the left (side); as you will tear the right side of the card front.
• Place a piece of Playful Palette DSP on the card base, right side (1-1/2 x 5-1/2) and adhere with SNAIL adhesive.
• Stamp the floral image on the card front (Sweet SugarPlum and Emerald Envy), and then stamp off with Flirty Flamingo and the sponge/dots stamp around the card front edges.
• Adhere rhinestones to the flower center.
• Adhere 2 pieces of Silver 1/8" ribbon to the DSP to add a little more shine.
• Lastly, stamp a greeting on Whisper White (with Basic Black ink) and then mat with Sweet  SugarPlum paper. Adhere with SNAIL.
