Hi stampers!
My post is finally ready. I'm very, truly sorry for my delay today. It's been one of those weeks....I appreciate your patience. Here is your Countdown to Christmas Project #7. It's a cutie if I say so myself - LOL.
And...I changed up the color scheme and stamp set! This time I used purple...Elegant Eggplant...and a snowman!!!! What's the holiday without snowmen?
Here is the inside of the folded card. The sides are embossed instead of being stamped. I think it adds just the perfect touch of snow and the theme for my project.
The center is again embossed and a snow hill cut out, as well as the 3 stamped images being stamped, colored and cut out. Watercolor pencils were used again in this project w/o the Blender or Aqua Pen. I just colored.
Lastly, Dazzling Details was added to the tree ornaments and parts of the snowman.
Since I used Designer Series Paper, for the outside, I chose not to stamp on the triangles (the fold to make up the front). Instead, I created a fancier, scalloped edge ban. I stamped and colored the snowman and added some Dazzling Details as well to the snow balls. It's hard to see in this picture, but the edges of the snowman piece are also embossed with Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Folder to coordinate with the embossing on the inside and over all theme of the card :D
I hope you enjoyed this week's project. Remember to visit everyone on the team and post comments on all the blogs as each of us are giving away BLOG CANDY.

Love your version! Purple is my favorite color.
Heather, your nontraditional holiday colors are just perfect for your snowman card. Love all the bling and the coloring you did. The belly band with the scalloped edges adds dimension. Your textured impressions also add just the right finishing touches to the triangles. SO glad I finished the blog hop as wouldn't want to miss your creation!
OK I am a traditional kind of gal and really like reds and greens for Christmas. This being said your Elegant Eggplant for Christmas rocks! I love what you have done.

Really like the eggplant and your snowman. The coloring was great. After seeing everyone's take on the square card, I can see I will have to try them. I think they will be perfect for the special gift cards we give.
Thanks, Gail S.
